Barak village

There is Barak village about 125 km south-west of Birjand city and 155 km of north-west of Nehbandan city. With a population 100 household, approximately; also, it is the 2st largest village in the "Arab Khaneh" local. The geographic position of Barak is: N” 22.53’4°32 and E”28.42’25°59.

This village has been closed by Siyah Kamar Mountain from side of south western, "Barak Mountain" from the side of north and "Gel Kan Mountain" from side of the east.

Barak word has been description by Moein dictionary:

1- Barak: Sohail star

2- Barak: 2-1- The type of thick stuff that knitted by camel or goat’s hair in Khorasan zone. 2-2- A part of carpet. 2-3- The short clothing that put by Gailan people.

Historical: It is not clearly archaism of Barak village, but cause to be Christian cemetery in around villages, Barak have archaism about 400 years, approximately.

Weather: The weather of Barak is warm and dry climate. Spring season is verdant and beautiful, cause of growth pasture plants and grass. Also, summer season is hot! Air temperature is up 35 degree in further days of summer and have dust half of week days at least. Air temperature of nights have vibration between 15 to 20 C°. However, autumn season donating a cold and dry weather to Barak people, but in winter is very cold and rainfall is very little.
